What if you could instantly look inside any company’s lifecycle program? Imagine if you could choose your competitors (or even just brands you admire) to see how they think about solving their most important lifecycle use cases to understand things like:

  • The behavioral signals they’re watching

  • The data they’re activating

  • The moments they’re targeting

  • The data points they use to orchestrate personalized experiences

Every employee needs to understand the competition. And for marketers, that means knowing how they're building programs, the strategy behind it, and where they're headed next. But this is a lot of unseen labor. It's difficult to wrangle on top of your day job, and it's hard to know if you've gotten it right.

So, I built a prompt that works in any LLM to solve this exact problem. And no, it’s not your standard run-of-the-mill, single-sentence prompt. I tinkered with this for quite a while to get it just right for this hyper-specific lifecycle use case

All you have to do is fill in the company name you’re curious about and run it, and then it will generate two tables for you:

  1. A table outlining the smartest lifecycle plays that the specified brand is likely running

  2. A table highlighting the differentiated lifecycle experiences the specified brand is uniquely positioned to deliver with its first-party data.

Of course, this prompt isn’t perfect (and you can tweak it further to make it your own), but it’s an incredibly useful starting point to help you stay on top of the competition, research best practices, save time, and uncover new ideas. You can use it to:

  1. See how competitors might approach their lifecycle challenges

  2. Spot new personalization opportunities in your own data

  3. Identify use cases and signals you may be overlooking

You can grab the prompt here. Give it a spin and let me know what you think.
